DR. DAN ZUEGE
Dr. Dan Zuege is a Clinical Professor of Critical Care Medicine in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary and the Senior Medical Director for the Critical Care Strategic Clinical Network. He received his M.D. from the University of Alberta and his MSc (Respiratory Physiology) and specialty training in internal, respiratory and critical care medicine at the University of Calgary. He is the former and founding Medical Director for the eCritical Alberta Program, which established a province-wide critical care clinical information system in all adult, pediatric and cardiac critical care units in Alberta. He was the Medical Director for the ICU at the Peter Lougheed Centre from 2001 to 2012 and the Medical Director for the Southern Alberta Organ and Tissue Donation Program from 2003 to 2010.
His research interests focus on the development and use of large scale health informatics resources to better understand and improve the care provided to the critically ill.
