Nancy Fraser is the Senior Provincial Director (SPD) for the Critical Care SCN with Alberta Health Services. Nancy has a Bachelor’s in Physical Education from the University of Calgary, a Master’s in Science in Counselling from Niagara University. Nancy has a diverse background in clinical practice, administration, and research.
Nancy has over 28 years of evolving leadership experience in health care and senior executive experience across several different areas of the health system in operations and various provincial roles. Nancy’s previous experience with AHS includes leading, integrating and transforming health programs, including as the Vice President, Cancer and Respiratory Medicine SCN, and the Senior Operating Officer of the Regional Mental Health program with Capital Health.
In her role as SPD with the Critical Care SCN, Nancy provides oversight to the Critical Care SCN to ensure that they fulfill their mission of ensuring evidence-based, quality care for people in Alberta experiencing critical illness or injury, through innovation and collaboration. This is at the forefront for improved outcomes for patients, more efficient care and cost savings to the healthcare system.
