Overview: A study to assess the validity of the FAM-CAM and Sour Seven to measure delirium in critically ill patients and to evaluate the anxiety and depression family members experience during an episode of delirium. Focus groups will be used to explore the perceptions and the acceptability of family-administered delirium assessments in critically ill patients. The objective of this study is to generate research that will improve the care of critically ill patients by creating better, earlier and patient and family-centered recognition of delirium
